About Kim and Clint

Our journey began several decades ago with the desire to be like our grandparents when they settled in Texas early in the 20th century. Traditions are an essential part of our family, and as kids, we grew up learning how to farm, take care of animals, raise crops, and make products from harvest. As we raised our children, the loving memories created the foundation for my husband and me. We wanted them to discover and understand the path to self-sufficiency on our little homestead. Over the years, Clint and I have had many endeavors as we took on the challenges of learning to care for our family Jersey cow, Grace. We quickly learned to love the taste and appreciate that rich, creamy, delicious milk. I began learning to make different cheeses, yogurts, kefir, and, yes, you called it, home-churned butter! There is no other out there than homemade butter! We even started keeping and raising honeybees. The bees provided our family with delicious honey, and then we harvested the wax used in candles and skin care products.

We have been so blessed by not just the goods that we have been able to produce for our family but overall, our homestead has created unbreakable relationships that we still cherish. These friends have become family, and the love and bond we have created while learning from each other is everlasting. Through the relationships with the community and friends, we have created lasting experiences with one another that have taught Clint, Hunter, and myself, how to utilize the resources that the Earth has provided for us and to go without producing waste. On our homestead, we use the entire animal, from food on the table, bones for broth, and animal waste to create new soil from compost, and we even use the fat from an animal for soap making. We recently learned about Bison tallow, the main ingredient in our Homestyle Soaps. By using tallow, we can get closer to our natural body oils that are also saturated with fatty acids and vitamins. Along our journey, we have learned how to make these delightful homemade, healthy soaps for you. We are excited to be able to share our homestead experiences with you and your family while also passing on our family traditions of living a more simplistic healthy life.

With Lots of Love,

Clint, Kim, & Hunter Holmes
